                      To make eating healthier more appealing I have included a recipe section for you. Enjoy!





Banana Ice cream with crunchy nut topping & date sauce
serves 4:
Ingredients
6 large bananas cut into halves and frozen for at least 6 hours
6 medool dates soaked in a cup of water for 4 hours
pinch of cinnamon
100g of pecan nuts broken up into small pieces
50-100ml of soya or almond milk


Method
Add into your food processor the frozen bananas and cinamon and soya or almond milk, then pulse until you have a smooth ice cream like texture.
Next take your dates and remove the pits add them into the blender along with the water you soaked them in and blend till smooth. 
Sprinkle on your ice cream your broken nuts then top with the date sauce (you can warm this in a pan on a very low heat for the even more yummy!  Your kids will love this!


Energy Boost Juice

This Juice recipe is perfect before exercise or if your just looking for a boost! Studies have shown that freshly extracted beetroot juice has an incredible effect on the body. Beetroot juice has become like a secret-weapon among athletes seeking natural performance enhancement. In a University study conducted at  Exeter, nine club-level cyclists finished three percent faster in 2.5- and 10-mile trials when they imbibed a half-liter (about four eight-ounce glasses) of beetroot juice pre-race compared to when they rode beetless. The juice contained about three to five beets and was taken three hours before the trial, said study author Professor Andrew Jones, PhD, Head of Sport and Health Science at University of Exeter. Drinking the beetroot juice led to higher power output for the same level of effort exerted, found researchers, suggesting the juice led to more efficient muscle and cardio performance.

Ingredients: serves 2
1 Large raw beetroot with leaves (if possible)
6 medium carrots 
1 large green apple (french golden delicious)
1 inch piece of root ginger.

Green Power Detox Drink

If you knew of a drink that if you drank it every day it had all these benefits would you drink it?  -Anti-aging-Energising-Anti-bacterial-Anti-fungal-regenerating.
This drink removed all my stomach ulcer symptoms in just 2 weeks!


Ingredients: serves 2
Half a cucumber
3 stalks of celerey
2 inch piece of root ginger
A handful of  fresh flat leaf parsley
A handful of fresh coriander leaf
A handful of spinach
1 lemon (un-waxed) with rind
*Drink within 30 minutes of making for maximum benefits
Protein Power!


Bananas are great source of plant based protein and this smoothie has the extra protein punch of added peanuts making it a great smoothies post work out. Oh, by the way, it tastes fantastic!

Ingredients: Serves 1


3 ripe medium bananas
1 TBLSP of natural organic* peanut butter
1 TBLSP of Agave syrup
800 ml of Almond or Coconut milk

blend all the ingredients till smooth and one colour.


*Drink within 30 minutes of making for maximum benefits
