‘You Are What You Eat’ nearly everyone has heard that phrase and almost everyone understands what it means too, add to that in recent years Nurtritional Science has been confirming just how true that saying is!
Yet despite the evidence now available that food & Health are inextricably linked, why is it more and more people are suffering from obesity and diet related ailments like diabetes, heart disease and cancer? Could part the problem be the conflicting and contradictory advice- all of which this leads to a sense of confusion and a thinking that goes like this, "why bother, who knows what is good and what is bad! How many times have you heard about a ‘new diet’ or that something we thought was good for us is now believed to be bad? New Diet books, Newspapers, news reports on tv all come out with these 'latest new studies ..." the problem is this latest 'new study' contradicts the last 'new study' saying the complete opposite! Do this type of thing confuse you? Does it make you think- why bother, perhaps i'll just keep doing what I have always done, then we fall back to our old habits or give up on a new one that we just started based on the 'latest research' - which we have just learned has been debunked by yet another 'new study.' Then there is the problem of motivation. Some many of us are have lives that are full to the brim and though we intend to get healthy, join that gym start eating healthier- we just can't seem to find that gap in our lives so as to make that switch and then run with it. |

I came to the point where I knew if I carried on doing what I was doing my health would deteriorate and being in my early 40's I knew I had left it long enough. What I discovered over the next few years opened my eyes to just how much what of we eat really does determine our health. The changes I made brought what I can only describe as miraculous result.
